Felix Road Introduces Quiet Hour for Inclusive Play
Felix Road is proud to introduce a new Quiet Hour initiative. Their playground is used by groups such as Bristol Autism Project and SEND Family Club.
This weekly Quiet Hour event provides a peaceful and accommodating space for children with sensory and additional needs.
Quiet Hour Details:
- When? Every Sunday during the first hour of their open access session (1 to 2pm), plus during special events.
- What to Expect? The gate will remain closed to ensure a secure play area. A friendly playworker will be present at the gate to greet families and their children.
SEND Family Club – A Year of Connection and Play
The SEND Family Club has been successfully running monthly Stay and Play sessions for the past year. Held on the second Saturday of each month, these sessions offer a safe haven for children with additional needs and their families to bond, play, and relax.
Volunteer Driven:
- Initiated by three local mothers seeking a secure outdoor play space for neurodivergent children.
- Sessions are casual, focusing on the children’s freedom to explore and play in a safe environment.
