Every child aged 3 years or over can receive 15 hours of free nursery attendance each week, and if you are eligible they may be entitled to a 30 hour free place.
3 year old children can start, if there are available places, in the September, January or April following their third birthday.
Some 2 year old children are entitled to 15 hours free education.

To apply, complete an application form and email it to littlehayesn@bristol-schools.uk (Little Hayes) or speedwell.n@bristol-schools.uk (Speedwell) or pop in for a visit.
Your child’s name will then be added to our waiting list and we will make contact when a space becomes available.
Fee paying places
We are now able to offer a limited number of fee paying places.
- All places will be subject to availability and appropriate staff ratios.
- Children need to be fully settled before starting additional hours. Three short settling visits will not be charged for.
- All places are term time only. No payment is required for school holidays or INSET days.
- Parents/carers will need to provide a packed lunch on all full days that children attend.
- Bookings are made termly and payment will need to be made one month in advance.
- Rates for funded hours are reviewed each March.

When and how to apply for primary school reception places
If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 you need to apply for a reception school place at www.gov.uk/apply-for-primary-school-place
The deadline for applications for September 2024 is 15 January 2024.
