End of Year Family Picnic: Wednesday 16th July 11:00am to 2:00pm
Come and join the fun for a stay and play family picnic. This will be an opportunity to celebrate the amazing year we’ve had, meet other children and families, and say good bye to our children moving on to primary school.
There will be a short graduation ceremony for the children leaving to go to reception.
Please bring along your own picnic and blanket.
There will be no nursery sessions that day.
September 2025 Places
Families of children returning to Little Hayes in September will be receiving a letter this week asking you about your preferences for places in September. As well as the funded 15 hour places, we also have a limited number of 30 hour places available for working families. Please visit the HMRC website to check and apply for an eligibility code if you are interested. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so let us know as soon as possible this term.
We still have a few places available for new children for September. Please tell your friends, family and neighbours. They can visit our website or pop in to arrange a tour.

Transition To Reception
Next term we will be supporting the children moving on to school in a number of ways. At nursery we will be reading stories about starting schools and talking about the schools they, and their friends will be attending. Reception teachers will visit and meet the children at nursery and many of you will be invited to attend meetings or events at their new schools.
The Starting Primary School page on our website has a link to a helpful parents guide to transitions on the Bristol Early Years website.
Staffing News
It is with great sadness that we will be saying goodbye to Elle at the end of this term. Elle started with us in December 2022 as an apprentice and having successfully completing her training she is now looking to progress in her career in a setting that is closer to her home.
We wish her well in her new job and know that you will join us in saying goodbye and good luck. We hope she will be joining us for our end of year picnic.
Jess will be taking over Elle’s blue group at the end of the week.

Donations of Tissues, Fruit and £1 Weekly Voluntary Contribution
Thank you for all your donations, your support is really appreciated.
The money helps towards cooking ingredients, visiting performers and other classroom activities. This term we have been able to welcome Mike Akers from The Travelling Light Theatre Company, Ellie from Bristol Beacon, and The Children’s Kitchen. Check out all the fun we have been having with music, storytelling and planting on our website.
We still have lots more space to fill around our garden so if you have any spare plants or seedlings, we would love to find them a home.
