We Are Learning… To Create and Tell a Story of My Own to Take Part in Shared Reading Experiences and Tales Toolkit Activities Responding to the Features of Stories

We will be using Tales Tool Kit to support our story telling. We will be learning about characters, settings, problems and solutions in our Tales Toolkit story sessions and using the story props in our play.

We Are Learning… To Develop a Sense of Ownership of our Learning Space

We will continue to explore all areas of nursery to understand where we will find things that we need. We will be finding different resources such as balls, hoops and bean bags to enhance our throwing skills , this also support our muscles to help our fine motor skills.

We will be using the garden, so please remember to pack a spare pair of clothes and bring their wellington boots. We are continuing to become independent in getting our coats and boots on.

We Are Learning… To Demonstrate Listening to Rhymes by Joining in with Words, Actions or Voice Sounds

We will be reading “Oh dear, Look what I got!” by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury.

Joining in with the rhyming text and guessing what comes next in this hilarious picture book . “I went to the shop to get me a carrot, Oh dear they gave me a ….Parrot!!!” I wonder what else they will get that isn’t what they wanted?

We will be using props to support the rhyming aspect and guessing what else rhymes.

You can watch the writer and author reading the book on YouTube.
