We are always talking with the children about how to care for themselves and make healthy choices. This week we have had another focus on dental health, including the importance of twice-daily toothbrushing and cutting down on sugary foods and drinks.
The children in Oak room have been learning about different occupations, and on Tuesday, they were visited by two dental nurses, Jasmin and Alisa. Jasmin and Alisa talked to the children about how to look after their teeth, and brought along some games and a sorting activity. The children had to decide which were healthy foods and which could lead to tooth decay. Jasmin and Alisa seemed very impressed by how much the children already knew about looking after their teeth!
All the children will receive a goody bag containing a toothbrush and some toothpaste, which was supplied by the local Children’s Centre.
