Learning to recognise and name shapes is an important part of early mathematics, and the wonderful thing is that shapes are absolutely everywhere once you start looking for them. Windows, wheels, doors, road signs – there is so much to discover on even the shortest walk.
Why not join in on your way to and from nursery each day? We have shared some photos below to get you started, but see how many different shapes you and your child can spot along Symington Road, talk about them together and see who can find the most!
