Family Support, Parenting Programmes and Community Activities This Term

Sep 8, 2026

Little Hayes and Speedwell Nursery Schools would like to share a range of free family support services, parenting programmes and community activities available across Bristol this term.

Families can take part in free outdoor play sessions with Play Rangers every Monday afternoon at Oldbury Court Children’s Centre, providing opportunities for children to enjoy adventurous play and explore the outdoors.

Parents and carers of children aged 1 to 3 years may be interested in the Toddler Incredible Years Programme, an 11-week parenting course designed to support children’s emotional wellbeing, communication and development. Families with children under two can also access the Best Start for Mums programme, which offers friendship, support and opportunities to connect with other local parents.

The East Central Family Hub programme is also offering a wide range of support for families, including Baby Hubs, Hello Baby sessions, New Parents Groups, Childminder groups, Breastfeeding Peer Support, Rockabye, Welcome to the World, Parenting Puzzle and Learn & Play Together (PEEP). Additional services include groups for young parents, twins and multiples, families with children with additional needs, ESOL conversation groups and stay and play sessions across several Bristol locations.

For further information about the Toddler Incredible Years Programme, families can register their interest at www.bit.ly/BristolParentingGroups.
